Western Corridor SSSI

The objectives of managing the SSSI are very different from those of the other parcels of land owned by MHH.

With the approval of the 2008 AGM, the Board has considered the options for an independent Registered Charity to own and manage the SSSI.

The preferred option is to set up a Company Limited by Guarantee, which may then apply for Registration with the Charity Commission. Keeping with the spirit of the agreement at the AGM, the draft Memorandum and Articles of Association (i.e. the rules by which the company will be managed) of the propped company, Martlesham Heath SSSI Ltd., are available here for inspection.

The 2009 AGM will be asked to give approval to the Board seeking Directors of this Company, registering first with Companies House and then with the Charity Commission and subsequently transferring the lease of the SSSI to Martlesham Heath SSSI Ltd.
